Just in time for my first round of fall mini sessions this weekend, I'm getting around to posting some pretty pictures from summer minis! It really is amazing all that you can do in a short 20 minute session. I only guarantee 10 photos from these sessions, but I almost always end up with more. ;) Here are a few of my favorites from the fun, sweet people I got to hang out with this summer! First up is my youngest mini-session client ever, who was not exactly interested in being in pictures! He worked with us juuuusst enough to give me a few sweet shots, though. Look how smitten mama and daddy are...SIGH! This little guy came to see me for a second mini session, and I'm pretty sure he didn't stop moving the whole 20 minutes! He is such a fun little guy. :) Then came these 3 crazy girls, who also did not stop moving the whole time!! These sisters were absolutely adorable, and as you can see candy is their love language. I'm with you, girls. Another family I saw for last year's minis too. Love these guys, and how much they laughed through their session! And last but not least was another sweet family full of smiles. I could not get over this little guy's smile, it was contagious!!

I just adore this family, and I think you will too. :) Little miss Alivia is one of my daughter's best buds, and we just love that little girl. She is the sweetest and the silliest, and I had SO much fun photographing her! We had a beautiful spring evening, and some gorgeous sunlight for these photos. I love how they turned out, and I love all the laughter and love you can see in these images. Enjoy a few of my favorites.
I'm going to take a minute and show off my kiddos here. I normally don't post personal photos, but this year I did a session with my kids for their birthdays. Both of my kids have a birthday within 2 days of each other. I usually pay another photographer to take pictures of my kids because #photographerschild. Basically, taking pictures of your own kids is a PAIN. They are automatically on their worst behavior, they lose all expression, and either run around crazy or give you blank stares. Its not enjoyable for anyone. This year, I had a session booked but it had to be cancelled at the last minute. I didn't have time to book anything with another photographer, so I sucked it up and did the session myself. I am happy to report that it wasn't entirely terrible. Ice cream is a good bribe, I will say that. Having Daddy around to help is a good tactic as well. :) But I am really happy with how the photos came out, so in the end the stressful afternoon was worth it. I decided to treat this as any other session, just to ensure I actually edited the photos in a reasonable amount of time (I am usually SO BAD at editing personal photos. I have like 2 years worth of photos waiting to be edited currently...) - so, in keeping with my goal for this year, I'm blogging every session! So, with that, enjoy a little glimpse into my life. These two kids are two of my favorite people in the whole world. I am still baffled daily that I actually created these little people, but I'm so thankful for them. At four, Lilly is a sweet, sassy, but oh so funny little girl. She has SO MUCH personality, that drives me crazy at times, but makes me smile every single day. She's the one who made me a mama, and these photos really capture her silly, sweet little self. At one, Dylan is just the happiest little guy you've ever met. He's 100% a mama's boy, which is simultaneously wonderful and exhausting. He's learning new things every day, and always has a smile on his face. His smile lights up the room! You can almost hear his laugh in these photos, which just makes my heart happy. I want to always remember the happy, silly, sweet baby he is. I can't wait to watch these two grow up together, and hopefully someday become best friends. :)
Little baby Logan...what a sweetheart! I shot him as a newborn, and it was one of my favorite sessions of all time. I came back when he was 3 months old, and he had gotten even cuter! He wasn't thrilled with the idea of posing for pictures this day, but you can't even tell in the photos - he is just precious! I've photographed his big brother a number of times as well, and the two of them together is just priceless. These are 2 handsome boys!! Just maxin & relaxin, like babies do... Look at those handsome brothers! Logan looks SO MUCH like his big brother did as a baby! I cannot wait to continue to watch these boys grow up in front of my camera! :)
