I'm going to take a minute and show off my kiddos here. I normally don't post personal photos, but this year I did a session with my kids for their birthdays. Both of my kids have a birthday within 2 days of each other. I usually pay another photographer to take pictures of my kids because #photographerschild. Basically, taking pictures of your own kids is a PAIN. They are automatically on their worst behavior, they lose all expression, and either run around crazy or give you blank stares. Its not enjoyable for anyone. This year, I had a session booked but it had to be cancelled at the last minute. I didn't have time to book anything with another photographer, so I sucked it up and did the session myself. I am happy to report that it wasn't entirely terrible. Ice cream is a good bribe, I will say that. Having Daddy around to help is a good tactic as well. :) But I am really happy with how the photos came out, so in the end the stressful afternoon was worth it. I decided to treat this as any other session, just to ensure I actually edited the photos in a reasonable amount of time (I am usually SO BAD at editing personal photos. I have like 2 years worth of photos waiting to be edited currently...) - so, in keeping with my goal for this year, I'm blogging every session! So, with that, enjoy a little glimpse into my life. These two kids are two of my favorite people in the whole world. I am still baffled daily that I actually created these little people, but I'm so thankful for them. At four, Lilly is a sweet, sassy, but oh so funny little girl. She has SO MUCH personality, that drives me crazy at times, but makes me smile every single day. She's the one who made me a mama, and these photos really capture her silly, sweet little self. At one, Dylan is just the happiest little guy you've ever met. He's 100% a mama's boy, which is simultaneously wonderful and exhausting. He's learning new things every day, and always has a smile on his face. His smile lights up the room! You can almost hear his laugh in these photos, which just makes my heart happy. I want to always remember the happy, silly, sweet baby he is. I can't wait to watch these two grow up together, and hopefully someday become best friends. :)
Here it is, the first session of 2017! How fitting that it was a newborn session. New year, new life! :) I can't tell you how much I love newborn sessions...those tiny squishy little babies, siblings in awe of their new baby brother or sister and constantly fawning over them, the LOVE you see in mom & dad's tired eyes... I just love every bit of it! This family was no different. Dominic is baby number 4 for them, and his big sisters and brother just LOVE him. They all wanted to hold him, kiss him and love on him, and it was just so sweet. I imagine life with 4 kiddos gets pretty chaotic, but it's the best kind of chaos. I'm so happy I got to document some sweet memories for this beautiful family, as they welcomed this perfect little guy into their lives. Welcome to the world, baby Dominic!
Oh, hello there! I know, it's been a while. But, look! Things have gotten a little updating around here. It took me a bit longer than expected, but I've finally given the ol' website a little facelift. With that comes new pricing for 2017 as well (check that out HERE). Take a look around, and if you've had a session with me in the past year or so, chances are you'll recognize some of the images. :) Stick around, too! I promised you in January that I would be blogging every session this year. So, it's April now, and I'm already a little behind. BUT, have no fear. I have 3 blog posts coming your way in the next couple of weeks. In the past two months I got to work with two beautiful families both welcoming little ones, and I shot my own kids' birthday milestones as well. Lots of pretty photos coming your way! Also stay tuned for the Spring Mini Sessions announcement...I'm still finalizing the date and location, but it's looking like May right now. I'll post here and on Facebook once everything is set, and I hope you'll join us for some fun spring mini sessions! I'll leave you with my new Facebook page image: a collection of my absolute favorite images from last year - all of which you will also find throughout the new site! Thanks for hanging with me through the past couple of slow months, and get ready for an awesome year full of beautiful photos!!
Wow. 2016 has come and gone. When did that happen?! It was such a whirlwind of a year for me, between adding the final member to our family, to being incredibly busy shooting. I didn't intend to have such a busy year, but I won't complain that I did - I am so incredibly thankful for all of the wonderful people I got to meet and photograph this year! I have a lot planned for 2017. I hope to make it an even bigger year than 2016 was, and I'm planning a few changes around here as well. One thing I want to commit to for 2017 - and it's a big one - is to actually BLOG! My goal is to blog every session this year. Every single one! I have never actually managed to keep up with blogging in the past, but I'm planning for this to be the year that I do. With that said, I first wanted to share some of my FAVORITE images from 2016! Since I didn't do much blogging, I figured I would just share them all at once instead. It was so hard to pick favorites, I really loved all of my sessions this year! Thank you to each and every person that booked a session with me, and I hope to see everyone again for photos this year, along with lots of new people! Stick around, big things are happening!!
